Amira Abudiab, M.A.

Co-Founder & CEO

Amira Abudiab is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-14238) with an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling and concentration in substance use. Amira is a San Diego native with a Palestinian background. She received her B.S in Physiology and Neuroscience at UC San Diego before transitioning into the mental health field, bringing a research and neurological lens to her studies. 

As a clinician, she has over four years of experience with clients from different populations including college students on the Autism spectrum, adults with severe mental illness, and those struggling with substance use. She has worked in various settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, acute residential mental health treatment, and outpatient. Amira utilizes an integrative approach incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care through a psychodynamic framework. Amira’s passion lies in bringing attention and resources to severe mental illness and addiction in the Muslim community.  She hopes to combine her background in biology and social justice work with her training as a clinician to bring well-rounded therapeutic approaches to her clients and the community.
